fashion quote of the day #4

I was not ugly. I might never be anything for men to lose their heads about, but I need never again be ugly. This knowledge was like a song within me. suddenly it all came together. if you are healthy, fit, and well dressed you could be attractive.

Zippers on Pants :0

Hey guys,

Even thought I can't find any for my self, I LUV zippers on pants. And i'm not talking about the fly. I'm talking about decorative zippers on pockets and leg cuffs. I just think that they look so CHIC. They give and edgy vibe to pants and if there are zippers on pant pokets than I would totally trust to put my stuf in them. Personally I think that they look great on tight denim skinny jeans like in this picture, but they also look good on baggy pants. they give a nice toughch to jeans giving it a more expensive feel. Surprisingly I can't find any at any store WHICH SUCKS. Zippers on pants are totally FAB.

bye bye

What is the key to style?

What is the key to style? some think it is having expensive clothes, or having the "it bag," or the boots that everybody wants. I disagree. it is especially hard to have an individual style  when you are a teenager, because the lure of the major trends and popularity is so strong. being thirteen, I am often tempted to wear lululemon sweatpants, and Ugg boots, and a North Face rain jacket. But I am challenging myself to create my own personal style. my goal is to wear pieces that nobody else has, and wear clothes nobody else has seen. that, for me, is very important.
but the thing that is the most important to remember is that style comes from within. confidence is key. Nina Garcia said in her book, "You have to be confident with who you are on the inside before you can be ever fully confident with presenting yourself with the outside world."

matching colors

Hey Guys,

I was browsing the web and and I found these images of cute clothes. I would almost say that you could wear both of these garmets together (if you unbuton the jaket put the skirt under it with a black tank top, and black stilettos) I love how the jacket has both the buttons and the belt but also dosen't look to busy. The only thing I would say that I don't like about the jacket is the color, if the blue was a tiny bit lighter then it probably wouldn't have consumed all the details on the garment. The skirt is very cute, but the only way you could wear this skirt is if everything else you are wearing with is is very simple. It would be such an overpowering skirt if it was worn with anything to complicated. But what I find funny is the fact that they are both very strong pieces by themselves, but they could actually look good together. It goes to show that you actually can wear two complicated garments together just as long as you don't over accessorize. Something else I love about it is that you could wear this jacket over the skirt, walk into a party, take off the jacket and have this great skirt under it.

HEY HEY HEY

Hey this is rhinestone. I'm doing a project on fashion from the past, present and future. I want to do this because I want to know how those dress from 200 years ago became the thing. I also want to know how skinny jeans became the new trend and what is going to happen in the future. But now I'm going to talk about me and my style. My style is girly but not to girly. I love to wear skirts and dress but I still love to wear jeans and t-shirts. Talk to you guys later!

Power Of Paisley

Ladies and Gentlemen, we often find ourselves trapped and forced against our will to obey the “laws” of fashion. No white shoes after Labor Day, skirts above the mid thigh are a no. Therefor giving us very minimal options on what to wear. I recently had an epiphany regarding fashion. We often look at the run way right? Why not convert the fashion to everyday. Yes there are places offering what I call “run way fashion” but it is usually over prices and/or cheep. So I came up with these rules of fashion that you can do on your own to get that slim cut look:

-Never go big on both ends. When you have a clunky top and baggie jeans it makes you figure expand. Say you have a pare of bootleg jeans and a flow top, you can still wear the top but tuck the top in and where the jeans with a skinny belt the skinny belt will give you hips something to work with.

-Don’t were vibrant colors with soft tones.
Mixing a hot pink with a soft grey sure would look good but would mix your style up therefor not helping you find your OWN style.

-Stick to one style.
Your style represents you shop for things that represent you!

Good luck <3

sooo..... fashion.

Hi everyone! I'm Denim, and i am in the fashion group (first of all because it's amazing) but also because i want to learn more about who's at the top (CEO's, Editors, etc.) I also want to learn how trends are developed and patterns in pricing. like Zipper, i kind of want to make some article of clothing by the end of the project. my personal style is not very complex; i just put on clothes that fit and are simple but cute. I really like wearing exactly four layers; an under shirt, a tanktop, a regular t-shirt, and a zip up sweater or sweatshirt. and pants. (duh)

Okeydokey! see ya later<3

SPIKES ARE MAKING A COMEBACK

HI GUYS!
So I was browsing the web looking for cool shoes and I found these HOT shoes. I love how the spikes balance out the heel and the black suede (spikes are totally in this year :D). When I went to Nordstrom this weekend, I saw shoes just like these on the racks. SPIKES ARE MAKING A COMEBACK! It seems like everyone is ether wearing them on their heels or on shoulderpads. spikes bring an edgy/expensive feel to clothes and shoes.

bye bye,

My Style is Special

Hey guys,
My name is Stud (like clothing studs) and my style is in between edgy, modern day, and london underground. I enjoy things like spikes, stripes, sparkles, patterns, button up pants, and a good old fashioned high stilettos, because, lets be serious. a pair of high heels can make a short person look like a freaking model. During my theme project, I will be focusing on how to make a cool outfit (that suits my style), defining my own style, and how fashion is marketed towards teens. i will also be making my halloween costume (i is going to be a yeti) i will be posting lots of pictures when i'm done. i hope you enjoy my posts

bye bye,
